Oh the Temptations!

With spring break coming up I know most of us will be enjoying warmer weather. With that comes greasy restaurant food and drinks upon drinks. Here are a few tips during your break.

1) Choose a salad over a burger every now and then
2) If possible make your own drinks, there are many different drink recipes that cuts out some of the calories
3) If you are somewhere by a beach wake up a little early and take a jog, the sunrise will be so beautiful you will forget your exercising
4) Have a blast, this may be the last time trip you take as a college student. Live it up

Make your own Bloody Mary



Scrap the mix and make a Bloody Mary from scratch! Start with ¾ cup of no sugar-added, low-sodium tomato juice and add the juice of ½ lemon, a dash each of hot sauce and Worcestershire saucefresh ground pepper to taste, and 1 shot of vodka. Garnish with a lemon wedge, celery stick and green olives (optional). Bonus points for adding a cocktail shrimp for some extra protein!

  1. Another tip I would add to your list: When traveling long distances in the car, pack your own lunch. It will be a healthier option than stopping at the drive threw.
    Marshall is nothing like a beach but I like to go for runs at sunset by Legion Park...when there is warmer weather of course. ;)
