Gluten Intolerant?
 
What is it? Gluten sensitivity, or gluten intolerance, is a spectrum of disorders including celiac disease which is damage to the small intestine caused by an intolerance to gluten. Gluten is a protein found in wheat, rye, oats and barley products
 
Symptoms? Symptoms include bloating, abdominal discomfort or pain, diarrhea, muscular disturbances and bone or joint pain.
 
What to avoid? Beer, breads, cakes and pies, candies, cereals, cookies and crackers, croutons, French fries, pastas, processed lunch meat, salad dressings, sauces, seasoned rice mixes, seasoned snack foods like potato and tortilla chips, and soups.

  1. My mom is gluten sensitive, so she stays away from a lot of those foods. I think this is becoming a growing issue because are just becoming aware of this health problem, and I think we as people eat too much gluten. Just think of all the snacks and other food options, it all has gluten in it. Giving ourselves too much of something can lead to allergies.
